đŸŒŋ The story of Habil and Qabil (the story of the sons of Adam)

📖 Al-Ma'idah (5:27-31) hints:

"Recite to them the story of the two sons of Adam. When they both offered a sacrifice, the sacrifice of one was accepted, but the sacrifice of the other was not. He said: 'I will surely kill you.' He said: 'Allah accepts only the sacrifice of the righteous.'" (5:27)

🧔♂️ Background of the story:

Adam (AS) and Eve (AS) had many children. At that time, the rule was that the brother of one twin was given in marriage to the sister of the other twin. But Qabil wanted to marry his own twin sister, which was not permitted. Adam (AS) then decided to make a decision by sacrificing according to Allah's command - the one whose sacrifice was accepted would have the right to marry.

🐏 Sacrifice and Jealousy:

• Abel: A good-natured, animal husbandry man. He sacrificed a fat, fresh sheep.

• Cain: A farmer. He sacrificed his poor quality grain.

👉 Result:

Abel's sacrifice was accepted, but Cain's was not. Cain became jealous and decided to kill Abel.

đŸĻ Teaching with birds:

After the murder, Cain was worried because he could not hide the body. Then Allah sent a crow (bird), which dug another crow and buried it.

Seeing this, Cain understood what to do, and he buried Abel.

In the words of the Quran:

"Then Allah sent a crow, which was digging in the ground to show another crow how to bury him. Then it said, 'O Allah, could I not be like him who covered his brother's body?'" (Surah Al-Ma'idah 5:31)

🧠 Lessons from this incident:

• Jealousy destroys people.

• Allah helps if one is on the path of justice.

• Allah sees the heart of the sacrifice - not just the outward gift.

• The consequences of murder are terrible.

• This is how the concept of death and the grave came into the world.
