đˇ Hazrat Idris (AS) – The Amazing Life Story of a Great Prophet
đ Identity and Family:
The Arabic name of Hazrat Idris (AS) is "ØĨØ¯ØąŲØŗ" (Idris), and in Hebrew he is known as "Enoch". His real name was Akhnoukh (ا؎ŲŲØŽ). He was born seven generations after Hazrat Adam (AS) and was the ancestor of Hazrat Noah (AS).
đĄ Birth and Childhood:
He was born in the Babylonian area of present-day Iraq or in Egypt — these two opinions are prevalent. He was born at a time when mankind was going astray day by day, forgetting the teachings of Adam (AS) and indulging in sinful activities.
đ Prophethood and Pages:
Allah chose Idris (AS) as a prophet and gave him 30 Pages (Heavenly Books/Pamphlets). The Quran says:
"And mention in the Book Idris. He was indeed a truthful prophet. We raised him to a high station."
(Surah Maryam 19:56-57)
đ§ĩ Discovery and Culture:
Idris (AS) was a wise man who contributed greatly to the development of human civilization. He was the first person:
Who learned to write with the pen đ️
Who taught how to sew clothes đ
Who started traveling using horses đ
Who spread the knowledge of mathematics, astronomy, medicine, and weaponry among people đ⚔️
He gave the idea of clocks and time measurement ⏰
đĄ️ Struggle and Call:
Idris (AS) called his people to Allah. He called them to morality, monotheism, and the path of truth. But many of the people of his time were descendants of Cain, who were disobedient and wicked.
Then Idris (AS) fought with a group of brave believers against the sinners, by the command of Allah. Through this war, he established the truth.
đ Ascension to Heaven:
The most mysterious and amazing part of Idris (AS) is his ascension to heaven. Allah Almighty gave him a special honor and raised him from the earth to the fourth heaven. In this regard, the Quran says:
"And We raised him to a high rank."
(Surah Maryam 19:57)
According to the Hadith:
The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, when he reached the fourth heaven during the Miraj, he met Idris (AS) there. (Sahih Muslim)
A hadith states:
Idris (AS) requested an angel to take him to the heavens so that he could worship more. The angel took him to the fourth heaven with Allah's permission and there the soul of Idris (AS) was taken.

Pronunciation:
“Wazkur fil kitaabi Idris; innahoo kaana siddeeqan nabiyyÄ. Wa rafa'naahu makaanan 'aliyyÄ.”
Bengali Translation:
“And mention in the Book Idris. He was a truthful prophet. We raised him to a high rank.”
